Spring 2010 Symphonic Chorus

With music from Austria to Great Britain, this concert combines the classic and the modern. Three children's choirs join forces with our CHCC Symphonic Chorus, orchestra, and guest soloists for a night of choral excellence. Vintage Mozart and Haydn, inspired by towering European cathedrals, meet John Rutter's recently-premiered Mass for the Children, pairing talented local youth with our fantastic chorus. Experience classical style and form followed by luminous harmonies from England's favorite choral composer, all in a perfect showcase evening. Don't miss it!!

The symphonic chorus rehearses every Tuesday night, 7:30pm-9:30pm in the sanctuary of Christ United Methodist Church in Southern Village, Chapel Hill, NC.

General Information and Registration

Please come back on April 1, 2009 when we re-open registration for the Summer and Fall semesters.

Dues and Costs:

The registration fee for any one chorus is $50, and for any additional chorus in the same semester the fee is an additional $10. Therefore, registration in only the Symphonic Chrous, or only Cantari will cost $50. If you are in the Symphonic chorus as well as Cantari the total fee will be $60. For the purposes of registration, the Summer Chorus is considered to be a continuation of the spring semester, therefore if you were in either Symphonic or Cantari in the spring, then the summer fee is only $10. Singing in only the Summer chorus costs $50. In all cases, the cost of music, which varies each semester, is added to the dues.

We want you to be able to sing with us without feeling a financial burden. If you need financial aid, please fill out the Financial Aid Application Form linked from the registration form. The deadline for submission of the Financial Aid form is one week before the first rehearsal.
