CHCC members along with other
members of the North Carolina musical community.
Their first international
tour during the summer of 2008 took the group to
Italy where they joined with other choirs to
perform "Carmina Burana". During one performance singers
were accompanied by a Russian orchestra overlooking the Mediterranean Sea,
another took place in a beautiful cloister in Rome accompanied by two pianos
and four percussionists. They ended the trip with a presentation
of Robert Ray's "Gospel Mass" in Frascati.
This summer the group heads
out to The Czech Republic, Austria, and Hungary.

June 29 they will be
performing at the Benedictine Abbey of Goettweig in Austria. The
Monastery founded in 1083 by Saint Altmann sits on a hill 449 m above sea level
in the Dunkelsteiner Forest south of the city of Krems, on the eastern edge of
the world-famous Danube Valley called the Wachau.
Safe
Travels to the group! We look forward to sharing pictures and stories from
the trip when they return.
We'd love for you to follow us through our tour blog.
